If you are using AMD chipset make sure the revision should be F3 or greater. Further after installing windows 2008 R2 Standard / Enterprise / Datacenter editions , if Hyper-v prompts you to enable “Hardware assisted Virtualization” , you need to contact OEM to enquire about the Hyper-v support.
Few tips :
- Make sure SVM option is present in BIOS , if its disabled , you can enable and restart the system
- Make sure NX / No-execute is enabled in BIOS
